Chaos MD5 Generator
Chaos MD5 employs the MD5 algorithm, a widely used hash employed in security programs and to verify file integrity. We use it for the latter for every program we release by listing it right on the program’s main page.
MD5 is rather handy and can be used as a way to identify files. Seemingly similar files for instance can be differentiated. Suppose you have many files with the same name and file type, you can identify which ones are actually different and which ones are merely copies by comparing the MD5 checksums. This handy application allows you to generate MD5 hashes for any files. It runs on Windows and doesn’t require installation to run. It even runs off of a USB memory stick.
